"I always saved my loose change"
I’ve been a customer of Principality for around 40 years, ever since I walked into the Denbigh branch carrying a whisky bottle full of coins.
Like so many other people, I always saved my loose change and allowed it to build up until the container could hold no more. One day, back in the 1970s, I lugged this whisky bottle into Denbigh to cash it in my bank. To my surprise, the cashier refused to take the money claiming that she didn’t have time to count it. (This, despite me being in my policeman’s uniform!)
Disappointed, I took my bottle into the Principality next door where a cashier, without quibble, took and counted my money. It came to £34.
That was the beginning of my happy relationship with the Principality. It’s testament too to the lovely nature of the staff which, over the years, has never faltered.
