"Principality looks after three generations of our family"

I opened an account with Principality because I was a friend of the Carmarthen branch manager – we’d been at Sunday School together.

Over the years, my wife and I have had many happy dealings with the Society. We got our first mortgage in 1971, borrowing £3,000. What I earned per week, I paid back per month and, when it came to selling up ten years later, we made a very healthy profit.

It wasn’t until the onset of this recession that we contemplated using any other building society. But, after deciding that we should temporarily spread our savings around a few different organisations, we were incredibly disappointed not to receive from them the same level of service and professionalism always provided by the Principality. It was a revelation and, as soon as the climate improves, we’ll be reinvesting all of our money in the Society.

For us, it’s now a bit of a family affair. Our son became a Principality customer about five years ago and, when our granddaughter was born, we opened a savings account for her. So Principality looks after three generations of our family. And it does so very well indeed.
