"A 1950s ex-council house was perfect for us"

When my wife and I got married last year, we expected to have to wait a year or so before being able to afford the home we wanted to raise a family in. 

But the Principality helped us when no other bank or building society could. After taking some initial advice, we began to look around to get a feel for the market and, within a week of browsing, we’d found our ideal home. It may have been a 1950s ex-council house that had never known tasteful décor, but it was perfect for us. 

With our small deposit, some Principality wisdom and a helping hand from mortgage services, we bought it and moved in before Christmas.

We’ve now got a house we’re transforming into a home…..and a little person on the way to help us fill it!
