THE WINNER FOR WEST WALES IS...
Ceredigion Federation of Young Farmers
Ceredigion Federation of Young Farmers Clubs was looking for support to help finance a series of events and functions to celebrate their 70th year – including the writing, producing, staging and performing of a show to celebrate their anniversary.
The award – which was presented to the Young Farmers on the Principality Stand at the Royal Welsh Show at Builth Wells – will allow as many of the Ceredigion Federation’s 750 members as possible to be involved in marking a momentous year in the organisation’s history.
Federation development officer Mared Jones said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen to receive this money from Principality Building Society. It will mean such a lot to our organisation and the hundreds of people who get so much enjoyment from its activities.
“The show that we are planning will commemorate our 70 years and celebrate the movement’s achievements, and we will be encouraging as many current members as possible to take part in the production.
“We expect around 200 members to be involved in the scripting, producing and performing of the show. The organisation has 21 clubs located throughout the county and we would like at least five members from each club to be a part of this to create a professional show that will be entertaining, informative and enjoyable.”
