Hole in one for Junior Golf Academy
Principality’s Graeme Yorston teed off at the Vale of Glamorgan’s gruelling National Course in support of the local junior golf academy recently.
The Vale of Glamorgan Junior Golf Academy holds weekly coaching sessions for children aged 5 and upwards. The excellent teaching and facilities have helped to produce some of Wales’ most promising stars; including Rhys Pugh who was called up to the Wales Senior Team while still aged 15, Zac Gould and Rhian Wyn Thomas from the girls section, who competed in the British Open last year.
Supporting the event, Principality sponsored one of the holes on the course and entered a team – finally taking third place.
The fundraising day raised over £1000 towards the academy’s ambitious programme for 2010/2011.
